in the Edgecombe County Register of Deeds Office.
Appointed to Deputy Clerk in Clerk of Court Office
Made history as the first woman and first African American elected Clerk of Superior Court.
Experienced an election defeat, but never lost her commitment to serving Edgecombe County.
Re-elected after once again earning the confidence of Edgecombe County voters.
Continued to be re-elected through trusted leadership, professionalism, and faithful public service.
Serving her eighth elected term while continuing to put people first.

Carol Allen White
Service has always been at the heart of Carol Allen White's life.
From the courthouse to the community, Carol has dedicated her life to serving others with integrity, compassion, and respect. A proud Edgecombe County native, she believes leadership is built by listening, serving, and earning the trust of the people every day.
Beyond public office, Carol continues to serve through faith and community leadership as the Founder of It Starts With U Foundation Reentry Transition, helping individuals rebuild their lives after incarceration, and as the Founder and Pastor of Greater Is Coming Ministries, where she and her husband, Robert, a deacon in the ministry, continue their shared mission of faith, hope, and service.
Whether serving in the courthouse, the community, or the church, Carol remains committed to putting people first.
